Catalog
Gilbert Press is a new service from The Gilbert Center. Since 2003 we have been self publishing and selling our own digital publications online. We currently have a catalog that includes four books (three of these are in their second edition), two Quick Guides, and a Journal series. We're now starting to offer our services to other organizations and authors in civil society.
We are currently in a beta testing period and accepting a limited number of publishing partners. If you would like to know more about this service, please contact us. We will be happy to talk to you about it.
- Include publications in our online catalog
- Online order forms for publications (closely matching look of designated websites)
- Sales and related customer service management
- Delivery system for digital and hard copies
- Lightweight licensing and watermarking of digital copies
- Monthly reports and payments to partners
We are looking for organizations and authors of books, reports, manuals, and booklets relating to civil society. The target audience will most likely be people who work or volunteer for nonprofit organizations, non-governmental organizations, educational organizations, foundations, social enterprises, or other similar organizations. Or maybe you are a nonprofit organization that would like to produce a book for broader audience. There are many possibilities that would still relate to civil society.
We will need to have a single contact person on the publishers side who is in charge of working with us. Partnering organizations or authors will need to be able to provide us with a finished, ready to print, document (we are not providing layout or design work). In this early stage we are looking for partners who understand that this service is very new, and have the patience to work with us on any areas that are still rough. If you think this might be you, please contact us. We will be happy to talk to you.
