We are proud to present our peer-reviewed, theme-based series of journals.

The Journal of Networks and Civil Society

Winter 2007-2008 Issue - Although the study of civil society has largely confined itself to the study of organizations, there is growing interest in understanding the broader contexts and enabling conditions for a healthy and effective civil society. At the same time, the spread of low cost communication systems in the last two decades has helped spur interest in applying the science of networks to social groups and social phenomena.

We are pleased to announce the inaugural issue of the Journal of Networks and Civil Society. This is the second thematic issue in our journal series and is intended to complement the previous issue which focused on information technology. (Read More) (Purchase a copy)

The Journal of Information Technology in Social Change

Spring 2007 Issue - Announcing the inaugural issue of the Journal of Information Technology in Social Change, the first of the new peer-reviewed, theme-based Journals of the Gilbert Center.

Editors, Reviewers, and Guidelines

We are very proud of all the people who are helping to make these journals happen. We would like to introduce you to the editors and peer reviewers. Both the editors and the reviewers of the papers submitted to this journal have guidelines which influence their judgment. In the interest of transparency we are making these guidelines available for you to read as well.

About Back Issues of the Journals of the Gilbert Center

The Journals of The Gilbert Center is a new series of themed journals. The first issue was produced in the Spring of 2007. There are currently two issues available. There is a little info about each one on the back issues page. We also published 20 issues of the predecessor to our new Journals. It was the Nonprofit Online News Journal and you can read about the back issues of that series of journals here.
